Man, in the last week my battery life has taken a dump. I pulled it off a full charge today and within 30 minutes it was at 80% and with no use at all it was dead in 4 hours. I've only had this particular Touch Pro for about a month. The other two I have owned were normal in relation to reported battery consumption and this one, up until last week was doing just fine. I'm running Energy rom and know that it's a battery hog but the first few weeks it wasn't too bad. I've dropped the back light to about 50% but it hasn't made a difference.. I don't know what is happening now though. It's like the battery has sprung a leak.

battery usage for me is dependent largely on the reception. If I'm somewhere where reception is good, I get about 2+ days on a single charge (I recharge after 2 days, but theres still 20% left when I do). If I'm in an area with bad reception where my phone is constantly looking for a signal or switches to 1x, I get less than 1 day.

this is with a touch pro with DCD 2.06 and no wifi or bluetooth usage.

Mine is the GSM version, (ATT Fuze). I don't know which HW version I have, but here's the bootscreen info, (I unlocked my device)

I keep the network to "Home Only" for this reason. It helps with Battery life. It is not so much with reception, but rather how often the phone has to search for signals and SWITCH from EVDO to 1X. When I went skiing I was out of my home area and the phone constantly roamed. I couldn't get 1/2 day out of it with no use until I switched to "ROAM ONLY", Then I got the full day. The phone stopped sending signals looking for a HOME connection.
If I stream music with Pandora I would be lucky to get 2 Hours out of my phone. My phone checks for mail every 10 minutes, and in combination with calls and text I cannot get through the day without placing it on charge.
Any list of tweaks including how to drop a speed a little would be appreciated.
