IDK what your doing but TF2D uses WAY more memory than titanium. at least it does on my VZN TP.

personally, i prefer titanium over TF. everything i need is right where i want it. i like the fact that the weather panel has radar as well as showing the temp right on the screen without having to scroll through the icons.

Re: Titanium or Manila...?

Titanium is ok...
I don't find it to be as effective as Manila

I have to do alot more scrolling to see appointments and text and such.

I'm using Silence's new rom and he hasn't cooked a rom with manila yet (not sure when he will) so i'm trying titanium for a little while before installing Manila 2.1

Re: Titanium or Manila...?

I tried manilla and while I can get used to it the battery drain associated is in no way worth it. Titanium is 100% usable for what I need and does not bring the added battery drain with it. With the addition of cLauncher it is lacking nothing for me compared to TF3D.

Re: Titanium or Manila...?

Manila doesn't drain any more battery than titanium unless you use one of the features Manila has that Titanium doesn't which is Push Internet!

You can have Manila prefetch webpages you use a lot and save you time NOT downloading when you go to look at them!

Battery drain is due to hardware use and only if you use things like GPS trackers, lots of data and talk a lot. then you will burn your battery.

But software doesn't drain power unless it is using some radio or hardware port in the device.

IE:
Heavy use of gsensor (play teeter or rotate your screen automatically).
GPS Tracker which needs to not only keep the GPS reciever and com port running but also has to upload data to the site that is showing everyone where you are...

So lets not put out false info here...

Umm software can most certainly drain your battery

Re: Titanium or Manila...?

extra cpu usage IS hardware usage, and different peices of software will use varying amounts of cpu and memory usage.
