perfect rom!! how do i back everything on the phone up!! - Page 2

i thought u had to write scripts and have a UC rom to really back up everything... im sure he means all his ringtones assigned, contact images, email set back up... the whole shabang ya know... am i wrong here?? i honestly dont know

lets find out... I just spent the last hour re-flashing a new rom, installing my CABS to the device, and changing my icons and icon placement on the desktop. now Im using Sprite to make a backup of everytig, registry, apps, storage, every thing on the device (not the storage card... ) then Im gonna hard reset and restore from my backup file. ill come back in about 10 mins or so to say if it worked. it shouod though.

yep. everything worked out just fine. icons are still changed. contacts are back. programs are installed and registered. worked out great!

Good to know it worked! I was reluctant to try this cause I thought like you that it wouldn't back up everything but I might try it now.

How might it work if you're syncing with an exchange server anyone? Would the exchange server want to resync all of the contacts, calendar, whatever again because occasionally when screwing with the exchange server the pda wants to resync because there has been a "change" on the server.
It sounds like I should be using this proggy. Thanks for bringing it up!

Spb Backup works great if you happen to install something the f***s your phone up, and you cant fix it. I have it set to backup every day and set to keep the last 3 backups. Spb backup will completly restore everything, i mean everything. It pretty much takes an exact picture of everything and every tweak program,and every setting...everything. After a hard reset, you run the backup, it will look exactly the same as it did before. Even the rom upgrade mode works great, depending on the rom your upgrading to. If your upgrading to a different rom it will tell you what you can successfully back up.

i used pim backup- backed up everything possible(checked all) and when i ran a restore, it only restored my contacts and text messages... ?

what i think is funny... Really no need to bash the site. Thats all this site is about, is to offer FREE help from all of our knowledgeable members here. Do we owe you something? Call HTC and ask your questions, and see how far you get...lol. The search is actually a pretty easy thing to use. Do you need us to hold your hand too?
