Re: Another Chrome Thread
You will most likely get a refurb. If you read on here lots of people get only refurb duds now, somtimes several. The online advanced exchange gave me several, and so did tech support. The local store they suggested I go to is a scam and owned by a third party. Even when sprint tells them it should be free exchange he will tell them he won't do anything for less than $50, that's the standard fee. Then on a touch pro he says he will have to send it off. This was a sprint offical repair center that they sent me to, that I didn't do business with.
If I hadn't finally got to speak with an sprint executive who called me out of the blue my ninth phone wouldn'tt have been a new in box touch pro. Their is a major break down in the system with sprint, and warranty claims, and satisfaction. |

Re: Another Chrome Thread
By them sending me one, is that considered an advanced exchange? I get the "new" one, and send the old one back?
When I get the phone they send me, Ill let you know if its a refurb. Their new advertising slogan should be: Sprint, its a love hate relationship. |

Re: Another Chrome Thread
if you get the long box with the nice dog with a sprint purse in its mouth, it's a refurb!

Re: Another Chrome Thread
Never ever use a third party Sprint retailer. I find that most independent phone retailers are really shady in their business practices. I always go to the major service and repair facilities for any problems with my phone and they never give me any hassle on swapping out my phones when it requires replacing. The reps I usually deal with in downtown NYC are super nice.

Re: Another Chrome Thread
Where's this list of IMEI numbers? I have chips and cracks in mind that are kind of annoying. If mine can be replaced for free, that would be nice.

Re: Another Chrome Thread
Well received the little box with the dog on it, refurb. Anyone else notice that the refurbs or maybe new hw revision have a d-pad that is almost completely black compared to the rest of the outside edge around the screen, which is a dark grey or titanium color?
Refurb date: May 11, 2009 Manufacture date: Dec 10, 2008 Refurb status: yes |

Re: Another Chrome Thread
So voice calls were fine on the new refurb phone, but data refused to be activated.
Support did a hard reset and reprogrammed the phone, wasted an hour and a half of my time. Sending out another refurb! |

Re: Another Chrome Thread
Well I received my 2nd refurb today and guess what, it was in bad condition.
The paint on the battery cover was bubbling up, and there was a dent in the bottom of the cover that was just painted over, dent still showing. There was no plastic coverings on the phone itself, and fingerprints all over it. The keyboard would get caught halfway out when sliding it. Like a catching sort of thing. I had to FORCE it all the way open. So I called ATS back and they are now sending me my 3rd refurb. When do you demand a new one??? |
