Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]

I tried to get the visual voice mail to work and it wouldn't activate. then I called and they said the system won't let them add it.

I wonder if it is only available in certain areas? I just put in my password and there they were... You are subbed to a data plan?

Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]

well I just got a refurb Pro after a botched flash with the new MR1 ROM fragged my old one... couldnt stand the stock ROM so I went to the Demolition ROM.

That said, I do LOVE the new radio in the new phone. I believe it is 1.03.09V... dont quote me on that, Im currently tethering or I would reboot just to get the numbers. I stay in a building that was built by DOD to be shielded against general radio transmissions and with most other radios I get MAYBE one bar of 1x. with this new radio I generally have 2-3 bars of EV. Loving this, but the battery life is horrible!

is anyone else seing the lack of battery life with this new radio? I would love to reflash the Telus radio I had on my old Touch Pro, but I dont wanna lose this one incase the telus is back tothe way my old phone was.

Any one have a ruu of the new radio yet? if so where might I look for it. last time I checked the radio thread I didnt see it there.

My signal has improved too. Battery seems to be the same.

I am getting good signal as well. Battery drain may not be as bad as I first thought... GPS locks happen before google maps even finish loading.

I wonder if the Voice Command has the new version or some registry change? Anyone has the chance to extract it from the rom?

I am guessing it is more than that. I think there was some sort of driver issue / conflict..

Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]

I flashed to Verizon's new Stock ROM and it seems that ActiveSync now continually runs in the back ground.

I've tried to close it with the HTC Task Manager, but it's up and running
again in 5 minutes.

Are there any options besides eLiAs_ASyncKiller (tried it, and does'nt work),
to stop it from running all the time?

Much Thanks in advance.

I noticed that too, but it seems to actually be a file called repllog.exe ..?
I am looking around to see what it actually is. If you kill it, it just seems to come back.

Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]

OK, I am thinking that in most ROM's, this is simply an excluded program or is hidden.

Exclusive option. The Exclusive option allows users to add programs to a list that makes them exempt from the Button setting; these applications will not be closed out when the X is used within the application. To add a program to the Exclusive list:

Ensure that the application is currently running on the device.
Go to Start>Settings>System Tab>Task Manager>Running tab.
Check the box next to the application.
Tap on the application name and select Add Exclusive from the pop up menu.

To remove a program from the Exclusive list:

Go to Start>Settings>System Tab>Task Manager>Exclusive Tab.
Check the box next to the application.
