If the GPS is working then you do not need to run that file, that is only if it is not working. Sounds like they need to update VZ-Nav.

Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]
[quote=CheezWiz;970678]This thread is for those of us who are choosing to run the new Verizon Stock ROM.
I will update this first post with links and procedures discovered to improve the use of the new stock ROM like getting tethering to work.. I have looked and looked and have not found a discussion on how GPS works on the new Verizon Stock Rom on my Verizon Touch Pro. I bought an external GPS receiver and I can't seem to get it to work. The instructions say that the blue blinking light will go steady when you are paired. Mine will not stop blinking but the phone says it is paired. When I run Google Maps, it says it is gathering info from the Satellites, but then I notice my data session is active so I have to assume the interaction with Google Maps is through the data connection rather than from the external GPS receiver. I close the data session, but it will start up again and again. Could someone explain to me how this is supposed to work? I am in touch with the vendor of the External GPS and I don't know if I have a problem or not. Do I have a problem, and if so, what should I do about it? Thanks. |

Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]
You do not need an external GPS with the new Verizon stock ROM which is the topic of this thread. Verizon has unlocked it for use by other programs.

How does GPS work then? Did I buy a receiver for naught?? If so, what type of program should I be looking for? I never discussed GPS with Verizon as just having to have to buy the data plan got my goat at the time. Is there a primer on what I should know about using my Touch Pro for GPS navigation? Please clue me. Thanks agn |

if you are wanting to only change the tf3d hometab background then go to the settings tab and change it there, for all tabs you will need the mun background for all tabs cab, u can also change the tf3d theme completely by getting some .theme files and tf3d config app. hope this helps..

Re: Verizon - Living with the new Stock Rom [6-11-09]
I have an issue with Internet Explorer not displaying anything post-MR1 flash. Opera works fine, but no matter what page I try to load in IE it tries to load about 1k then just shows a blank screen.
Anyone else seen this? |
