Go to Alltel and get a $30 unlimited phone as modem plan (actually mines $25, I got it before it went up). I've been using this for years on my crap phones and about a year on my PDA phones.

C this is my problem. I cracked my vx 6800 case, but have not pulled a insurance claim yet since I didn't want another one, but I would like a new phone. My 6800 has the data shut off from verizon and I do not want to pay for the data plan at this time, but have been considering it when I add my GF onto my line down the rode.
So I'm torn on what to do. I would really like to get my hands on a touch pro, but my contract is up in november and the likes of the touch pro 2 and Whitestone coming out I'm not sure what to do.

Any suggestions would help. Hell I've been paying for this insurance for over a year and never have had to use it.

Verizon is full of BS...so if they won't replace your pda because of this new "rule" they have, then shouldn't they give you your money back for ALL the months of insurance you have been paying? Since they won't replace the phone through the insurance comapny because you don't have a data plan, then you shouldn't have been paying for insurance. I would rasie total hell and leave them. I have been with verizon before and left them for Sprint. Same service just cheaper.

Well I called today and I would still get the VX 6800 as a replacement. (midwest) so I'm just going to wait till newer phones come out. I agree with paying the insurance thing. I mean they shouldn't force you into a data plan just cause your phone has died.

I read somewhere that the average life expectancy of a Ninja rider is from 6-18 months so just put the charges on your credit cards and let the bank write it off!

This forum is only biased towards sprint because more people use Sprint here and of those users, more are likely to actually like Sprint, as opposed to VZW/AT&T/etc. users. Probably the biggest (maybe only) reason a lot of people here are huge Sprint fans here is because we are on the SERO plan.
