Now, after doing this, I still have the same issue, but if I have an active internet session the mms will show up on my phone, but it won't show the pic...instead it shows a greyed out "Download" button.

Any ideas?
When I first did this, mine would just stall at 99% and never complete... It said the picture was 127k if that sounds familiar. Do the additional regedit I posted a few posts up and see if that helps... As far as the internet connection goes, I have always had that problem. I think there's a regedit somewhere that will disconnect the data session if it's idle for a certain amount of time, but I don't remember what it is. I think that's the best answer to that problem. Find that registry entry and set it to disconnect after say. 4 or 5 minutes. Something long enough that it doesnt get in the way of normal web browsing.

Please try my regedit I posted and let me know if that fixes it. I think it will, but if it doesn't I don't want to keep tellingpeople to do it

Re: Touch PRO full MMS with CRICKET!!!

One other thing I was thinking about. It might be a good idea to do a hard reset, especially if the phone you are using was used. I have been flashing roms like crazy lately, and I have run into problems a few times. After you flash a rom, you are supposed to hard reset again but a lot of times I'm so impatient I skip that step. Anyways, the point is that it seems like sometimes old registry settings or something sticks around and causes problems. I'm not saying that's the case here but I followed his steps, and added my own regedit as well and its been working perfect for me.

If you want to do it another way, you can go to the CDMA Touch Pro Upgrades section and look in the stickies to unlock your phone. Then there is a rom at Howard Forums that you can use that has everything setup. All you do is open your browser and put in your phone number... Then web and mms is all set and ready to go.

Re: Touch PRO full MMS with CRICKET!!!

I did unlock my phone myself and set the spc to 000000 with no problems. I then used the ROM From over at Howard Forums and input the phone number and such and everything worked except for the mms. That is where I am at now. I am going to try the above reg edits and see what happens. If that doesn't work I will reflash yet again and hard reset not once, but twice after the flash. Something has to work.

Re: Touch PRO full MMS with CRICKET!!!

Well, after yet ANOTHER flash, and ANOTHER hard reset my phone is still giving me the same "The answering modem has disconnected." error message when I receive a mms. As long as I have an active internet connection it works just fine. I don't know what the deal is, but it is really making me want to get rid of this phone.

Have you tried unchecking the delivery report and read report and bumping up the attempts before giving up?
are you using the newest rom version 4.30?

Re: Touch PRO full MMS with CRICKET!!!

Actually, I think you need to call Cricket and have them refresh your MMS.

I just re-read your last post... MMS is working good for you now. It's just the internet connection. I still think it's because when you browse the web or something else that establishes an internet connection, it doesn't disconnect after you're done. Mine does the same thing. Not a deal breaker, but it is kind of annoying. I still think there's a regedit to to diconnect the connection if it sits idle for a certain amount of time... And that might be your best answer right there.

Yes, the read report is unchecked and the attempts are set at 8. I am using the newest version of the rom. I am not giving up yet, but it is really frustrating.

well...i'm beginning to agree with you that it must be one of your epst settings. I read on hofo that you also get the error when on other roms. So, must be, i would think.

I did call CricKet yesterday and had my Browser and MMS refreshed hoping that might be the issue with all of this, but that didn't change. I did some checking in the registry but was unable to find anywhere that might need adjusted to fix this issue. If anyone has any ideas I am more than happy to entertain them.

Yeah, now if I could just find someone with the right epst settings to walk through ALL of them with me I might actually have this working.
