Touch PRO full MMS with CRICKET!!!
 

OK I was working on some touch pro and needed help with MMS setup.

Here is a thread that includes everything you need to setup MMS to perfection.


OK here it goes:

1. Make sure you do not have ANY mms or any other picture mail tool installed.

2. install dcd Cricket Carrier 20081031.cab attached

3. Soft reset

4. Go to Start\Settings\Connections\Connections

5. click advanced. Click select networks. Under both drop downs select Cricket. click ok. click ok again and then click the X so it takes you out of that menu into the main screen.

6.Install Sprintmms.cab attached

7. soft reset

8. Go to your messages and click menu/MMS options and then click server you should have something called "Sprint" already just click it. You need to change the following settings:

Server Name Cricket
Gateway leave blank
Port Number 8080
Server address http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
Connect Via Cricket
Sending limit 5000k
Click Done
click OK to get out of the settings.

9. Now using your favorite REG EDITOR go to:

HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\Arcsoft MMS UA\Config\MM1\MMSCSetting\WspHeader

X-Cricket-MDN this is your 10 digit cell number Value like 999-999-9999 <--- please put in your own phone number no dashes.(you will see X-Verizon please delete it. leave blank the X-Sprint)

10. click the X on the top right corner to get out of the registry editor.

11. soft reset

This should work since I got mine working like this.

YAY WORKING EMAIL ON CRICKET!!!!!

I used FUNAMBOL and it works fine just make sure you sign up is completely free. You need to install the cab below and install. Then open the application and sign in.. simple and you get email on cricket..

"all you can eat" type carrier for one low price no credit check...they used to suck alot out here in az...but they have greatly improved. They lease tower space out here in az from a few tower companies and have agreements with alltel and now vzw

hey i got all the way up to the registry part and for me wspheader is not in the mmscsetting folder and i cant find x cricket mdn i only see x sprint mdn... so im stuck at this part? any help? thanks alot and great guide so far

JUST RENAME THE x sprint mdn TO X-CRICKET

What rom did you start with?
Did you use the PPC Kitchen, or a user's custom rom?
I was trying to figure out how to add a cricket carrier cab to the Herman PPC Kitchen, and use that.
But I don't know where to begin. lol.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be real appreciative.
(I have searched).

That's not possible. Cricket blocks all ports but 80 and 8080..

you'll have to use mail2web or something similar for email.
