Have you double or triple checked all your epst settings? There's some posts on HoFo with epst settings.

Yeah, according to the epst settings thread on HOFO all of my settings are correct. There has got to be something out of whack somewhere I just don't know where. I am still pretty convinced that is somewhere in my epst. I really don't want to have to go to CricKet to have thme check it due to the fact I don't think they know anything about these phones or settings.

when you go to the espst what active profile do you have?

Also have you tried s generic ROM and just install the carrier cab afterwardsk
just s thought.

Under M.IP Settings there is:

Number of Profiles 2
Active User Profile Index 0

I haven't tried that yet, will give that a shot and see what happens

It should only have 1 profile... Anyways, I went through that tutorial step by step a few weeks ago, and my web is still flaky... Not just with MMS but say I watch a video on youtue then maybe 30 minutes later try and use Opera I get error messages. I have to either keep refreshing over and over til it works or go to the comm manager and disconnect the data session.

I'll do some searching and see if I can find the regedits I was talking about. It was never a biggie to me. Just a minor inconvenience that comes with having a bada$$ phone on Cricket

I just tried two different roms...Calkulin Touch Pro 21232 v1.7 and Energy 3.0 Plain. When I use the Calkulin rom it lets me know I have a message, but it won't even attempt to download it and the download button is greyed out, and with the Energy rom it doesn't even attempt to let me know of any message at all. I have installed the DCD Cricket carrier rom 20081031. This is something totally different than with the Cricket rom off of HOFO

This is a stupid question but when you installed DCD's Cricket carrier CAB, did you go into connections and put your number and cricket as the password to get the data to work?

Also, while you're there click the advanced tab at the bottom, then Select networks and make sure that both are set to Cricket.

I'm only asking because it sounds like it's not even attempting to connect, and that's the first thing I would look at especially if you followed the PST settings tutorial at HoFo...

That is the first thing I did. Made sure cricket was set for both in the advanced tab and input my 10digitnumber@mycricket.com and cricket for the password. When I go back to the HOFO cricket rom I get the same "The answering modem has disconnected" error. I did manage to set my active profiles to 1 and that hasn't made any difference for me either.

Oh wow... Okay, can you get online otherwise? Like use Opera or Youtube? If not, have cricket refresh your web and mms again. If you can, then it has to be one of the registry settings.

That error you're getting kind of sounds like your web settings aren't quite right. I still think the Cricket rom at HoFo is the easiest rom to use on Cricket. You shouldn't have to do anything other than put your number and cricket as the PW, and it SHOULD work just fine. I used it for months before I started messing with WM6.5 roms. There's a CAB there too that installs Arcsoft, sets up web and MMS settings just like the cricket rom.
