Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
for sure I know I haven't...which prompts me to switch services when my contract ends with them.
There is small rate of success with an meid add. Even the supervisor told me that they couldn't do it because the phone isn't supported (then why did it work on the network idiot) que sera sera. Its weird either vzw comes out with an ungimped and inexpensive device or people are going to leave in droves. This was the last straw for many business customers struggling whether to switch or not. Not to get on a huge rant, but its ludicrous. Verizon has lost their mind. Their data plans may be superior but at the cost is far too much |

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
From the pricing guide I got with Sprint, Verizon's data plan isn't really superior in any way. For as many lines as I have, I'll be saving money making the switch. I already know what the termination fees are, and I'm heading to Sprint this afternoon to have a sales person give me the grand total for service on 4 new lines.
And about it not being supported, COME ON! I actually had a customer service rep tell me that the technology was different. He said Verizon uses CDMA, and Sprint is TDMA. WTF??? The customer service folks are so uneducated that it sometimes feels like I'm talking to a 4 year old about my service when I call. Verizon really does suck anymore... |

I had Sprint for two years & had tons of problems that totally disappeared as soon as I switched to VZ. I travel all over the country on business & Sprint's network simply is not good enough for me (unfortunately, because it certainly is cheaper) That being said, this cr@p VZ is pulling now is really puzzling. Why they would even want to block anybodies phone is puzzling as the monthly fee is where their income comes form, not hardware sales. I am using a Sprint TP right now on my VZ account (Mighty ROM), but I will be pretty careful what changes I make from here on out..... ~John |

october is my official month last for vzw. If I had extra scratch I would cancel vzw tonight...they've put me through hell I had to return two moguls to get one refurbished debt off my account (that still isn't off), the customer service lacks more knowledge than a dog, and they have the superiority of what we say is the truth despite the fact that they all say different things and no one know what to follows. Truth be told, would it be fair to say we know more than supervisors? Probably. Should the supervisors be aware of this? It would help. but of course it is what it is |

Beyond that tho, Verizon's pricing is just too high for me, nevermind the way they handle their hardware. Last edited by Chuck_IV; 03-21-2009 at 08:58 PM. |

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
Was in the Sprint store yesterday with the wife checking out the service and equipment...
The whole family is on board and very excited about unlimited data for ALL 4 LINES we have! Verizon charges so damn much for data (and lacks a family data package) that we've only been able to afford data for 2 of our lines with them. With Sprint, we'll have unlimited data, text, picture messaging, and 100 more minutes a month to use for less money than we pay Verizon for what we have now. Verizon $225/mo. (4 lines, 1400 minutes, 250 texts per line, unlimited data for 2 lines) Sprint $175/mo. (4 lines, 1500 minutes, UNLIMITED texting, unlimited data for 4 LINES!) Bye bye Verizon |

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
I've had Sprint for 10yrs now and the only problems I've ever had with them is getting my bill wrong. But a quick call always corrected it. Never any dropped calls, unless I was going under a bridge or out in the woods somewhere (which is never). Never had a problem with text not coming through. Text taking 8hrs to come through is crazy.
I can only remember not having service in the last 10yrs maybe two or three times. 1st being down in St . Stephens, SC back in 1998 on my grandparents land. But hell they have well-water and dirt roads, so I expected that. but 2yrs later I had a Roaming signal and now a full signal with data. I think its takes all networks time to get updated. I can remeber back while I was down there, my moms signal stopped when we were still on I-95 S. She didnt have a signal at all until 2001 and she had VZW. So all in all I think Sprint is great.

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
Man this sucks. Just ordered a Sprint TP to use on VZW and I have decided to say to hell with them. Sadly enough as a VZW employee I am now using a Sprint Touch Pro with SPRINT SERVICE! You have to do what you have to do... I put up with that piece of garbage that VZW calls a Touch Pro for 3 months and I could no longer lie to myself = It is not and never will be up to par with the Sprint Pro.
Must say Sprint service has improved since I had them 5 years ago. Last edited by Elite Precision; 03-28-2009 at 10:52 PM. |

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
Well, I thought I would put some input in. I have a TP from sprint that I unfortunately switched over to Verizon before i heard about the plug in *228. Well I tried and tried and talked and talked and transferred to higher tech reps but they told me the bottom line was they couldn't manually add the s/n to their system. I asked them why I was able to activate the 6800 I have currently when they told me specifically that they couldn't activate that either. They didn't have an answer for that question either. Long story short, I would like to return my TP to the Sprint version. I know how to flash the rom, etc but what about all of the MIP settings? Do I need to go back into those and reset them? What about the data? Any help would be much appreciated,
