Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)

A few weeks ago, I was about a day or two from going to Cricket myself if Sprint didnt find a solution to my problem, and while there was actually only one CS rep I had to even point that out to, it sure changed their attitude real quick!

When the touch pro 2 comes out I will be shopping ATT and Sprint. I like the fact that ATT is GSM and really opens up the world of phones to me. Sprints 100.00 for all plan is a nice thing too. Maybe Verizon will come out with the touch pro 2 (complete version) too and I might stay with them. but honestly them baring me from using my sprint branded touch pro because it hasn't been tested on the network BS really pisses me off. I figured I have paid them about 10 grand over the last 12 years. Seems like they would like to keep that money coming in and just take the 2 minutes to ad my phone. Its even worse that they did ad my phone once then kicked me off.

Just hang in there a while longer. Verizon has said they will be using SIM cards when they roll out LTE. The Touch Pro 2 is coming for Verizon also and hopefully it won't be crippled

I really want to switch myself, but we have 8 lines of service on verizon each with different contract end dates this makes it even more annoying for me.

I may be willing to take the early termination hit just because their customer service is lacking.

don't give up... there are alternative ways to get your sprint/anybrand CDMA phone working with verizon... it just takes a little bit of research to get everything working... who knows, besides getting your phone working with verizon you might find yourself in the future doing some savings in your montly bill because of plan flexibilitys that come with every tweak you do

Some of us _have_ to be on VZW. In my case I have a perfectly functional Sprint device and am more than pleased with the Sprint service. However, my employer pays for the service and they're switching over to all VZW and AT&T.

So, I officially got denied today by VZW. I had a very helpful tech who found the form (for MEID adds) rather quickly and submitted it. She called me back *the very same day* (great service) and said that her request has been denied.

I explained that there are hundreds of sprint devices already on their network. She offered to submit an appeal if I could supply her with one phone number of somebody who successfully had a Sprint device added to the VZW database.

So, anyone want to PM me your number?

I've spoken with numerous VZW techs. Some have tried the "magic form" to request that my MEID be added, others have called the IT dept, etc. All are coming back with the exact same story: VZW never really opened up their network. When I mention the big press releases about their open network that they circulated last July, the techs say "yeah, but that was never approved".

Here's my request to this group: If you find a knowledgable tech who is capable of adding the MEID, would you please get his/her email and PM me?

That's not a particularly useful post. Why not explain how it can be done (if you really know) so all the people here who have been flat out denied can get some benefit from it.

actually it's been mentioned several times in this t hread.... involves getting your old verizon phones out of the basement...

and probably spending some money in buying the needed tools... i'm answering any PM that comes from non lazy people
