yep. tried all variations of 0 and 1 and dec and hex. no joy on any. soft reset after each change.

weird idea but what about poking around in the arcsoft reg? since its an enhanced message maybe arcsoft might have something to do with it.

I know. If you were using that Sprint TP on Sprint, I don't think you would be having the problem. I don't think they're building these ROMs from the ground up. They have to start with basic OS and registry settings and go from there. I would imagine that this is one of those settings that gets changed from what it is initially on a Sprint ROM, to what it is on your Verizon ROM. I wasn't trying to be a douche bag, just pointing out something that maybe the Verizon people didn't know.

p.s. im not running arcsoft reg. Can you uninstall arcsoft reg to see if it works without arcsoft being installed

i do know this...if i send someone on at&t or sprint i get that original kick back message that says they cannot receive extended messages, meaning Enhanced SMS

Verizon told me that this is a network issue and not an issue with the phone.. But who knows..
