The wierd flashing issues are due to Coreplayer's partial hardware driver and is a well known issue. You'll want to use the Windows Media Player instead which has a complete and proper hw driver implementation. Very smooth with no blue flashes.

Don't bother with TCMP. Although it can play almost anything, video output looses lots of frames.

I tried this on Touch Pro2 and it didn't work. All I got was audio...

I did. I tried Yellow to Yellow, Red to Yellow, but to no avail.
Somehow I think the device is not outputting video properly.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

was your cable pushed all the way in? if its not you will get sound with no video. my cable is actually correct in colors for the RCA's. try all the cables to the yellow and make sure the cable is pushed in all the way. also give it a spin just to make sure its seated correctly.

Did you get the Video Up popup screen asking you to select PAL or NTSC format? If the you did not, the hack will not work on TP2. If you did get the popup screen, then the problem is probably your cables as other posters have suggested.

Yes, the cable was pushed all the way in and it fits in there precisely and yes I have tried all the different colors.

I don't see how the cable could pose a problem as the pinout matches the one on iPod Video with the exception of pins 4 and 1 being swapped. I confirmed it using an ohm-meter.

If you say 1 and 4 are swapped - then I think that's your answer. Because now it's treating the "ground" as "video" and vice versa. It doesn't matter how you swap the inputs, there's no input that corresponds with ground. So you'll never get video.

I have an Archos video cable - and had the same results as you. I picked up an Ipod Video cable, and things worked as they should.
