Re: active sync not working!!!
I am having the same issue with a HTC Mogul. I have tried checking/unchecking the "Enable Advanced Network features, tried to delete the "Mobile Settings" within Activesync. I tried a different USB Cable/different workstation (All Windows XP SP2) nothing seems to work. I am using the DCD 3.2.6 ROM (A Scott Scrossler ROM) I have tried just using it as a hard drive, it doesnt detect it as a drive either. I can tell it knows it is plugged in due to the charging light. As far as any connectivity from the Phone to the PC - NO LUCK!! Please help. I am leaning to a hardware/issue or some setting being overlooked on the phone itself.

Re: active sync not working!!!
I was in the same boat as you. I tried two different USB cables, switched the "enable advanced network features" on and off, reset my phone and laptop, notta.
Last night, I plugged in a Bluetooth USB dongle to my laptop, and went to activesync on my phone and selected connect with bluetooth. The computer finally recognized my Touch Pro, and installed the drivers. I tried about 10 minutes later to connect with the USB cable, and this time it recognized my phone. |

Re: active sync not working!!!
I have looked further at the USB pins on the bottom of my HTC Mogul, it seems as though I only have 4 bronze pins. It looks like there is a space for a 5th, but it may have fell out. Can someone confirm with me how many bronze pins there are on the Mogul? I will try syncing through bluetooth.

Re: active sync not working!!!
are you able to access the device via My Computer? If so.. your computer recognizes the device fine, but ActiveSync is never notified (or is set up to do nothing). Have you tried it on another computer?

Re: active sync not working!!!
A lot of the cables that charge will not transfer data so the phone isn't "seen" by the PC.. as igo5onit said.. be sure you can go to "my computer" on your pc and see the phone as a drive.. (Even with active sync chosen as connection type). If so then the fault is not in the cable.
