Re: Record Both Sides of Call Coming Soon!
I had Resco for a while and it doesnt record both sides unless on speaker, point blank. Now, about the settings, you can elect that Resco records phone calls automatically which may be inconvenient, however that option exists, and you wont have to fiddle with anything when u get a call...
oh yeah +1 for auto-exec on this, we ar enot talking about legalities here, just technical part of getting the isht to work, nuff bout that isht. FYI auto-exe want some money ,dont fly to DC, DRIVE dude..lol

Re: Record Both Sides of Call Coming Soon!
I installed both the cab file and the mui file from that website and the software installed fine on my TP. However when I called my voicemail and my work phone to check, there is no option to record the call under my phone call menu. Can someone tell me where I can find this or what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Record Both Sides of Call Coming Soon!
this is illegal in most states
so if u record both convos, u take the chance of legal action if the other party finds out and is not happy about it |

Re: Record Both Sides of Call Coming Soon!
Umm, no its not. It's inadmissible in court if the other party didn't know they were being recorded.

Re: Record Both Sides of Call Coming Soon!
It is legal as long as one of the parties is aware that they are being recorded. Both parties do not have to know they are being recorded. Now if a third party is recording two parties then yes it is illegal, but thats not the case with this.

"Federal law allows recording of phone calls and other electronic communications with the consent of at least one party to the call. A majority of the states and territories have adopted laws based on the federal standard. But 12 states, including California, require the consent of all parties to the call. These are are California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington. For a state-by-state guide to taping laws, including a discussion of federal law and references to caselaw, see the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press guide, www.rcfp.org/taping/ ." so all you guys that don't seem to give a crap about members like me trying to keep your butts out of jail, should. and as far as i'm concerned, this thread should be closed by a mod. ![]() Again, I don't mean to offend, but unless the thread's titled "Is it legal for me to record both sides of a phone call in my state?", or someone asks for legal advice, I really think posts like these are inappropriate.... IANAL, and I'm guessing you aren't either. It's annoying when you're looking for a solution and a thread gets filled up with irrelevant posts (yes, I realize this is becoming one of those)... and now you're asking for the thread to be closed... so much for thesfactor's problems, eh? Since state laws supersede federal, you could be charged in the 12 states. But how is the other party going to know? YOU HAVE TO CONFESS TO DOING IT or try to use it in court. In other words, if you manage to appeal the case to supreme court, you may have a chance. And I'd prefer if you didn't make calls on which threads should be closed. This is a learning experience. |
