I've also installed Resco Audio Recorder, but it doesn't work to record both sides. You may hear the other side VERY faintly, but my guess is that it's just the mic picking up the speaker output (which is why, as someone else here mentioned, if you use speakerphone you'll get a decent recording of both sides).

In all the times this has come up, people have pointed out that it's a hardware limitation on our phones (something about how the hardware interfaces directly rather than routing through the OS).

I was hopeful when I saw that HTC included in-call recorder software for another device, but after having tried messing around with it (there's a thread here and on XDA), I'm not very confident that it will work for the Touch Pro.

No offense to you, but I'm really tired of seeing these disclaimers on legality whenever someone mentions recording a call...... it's up to the person recording the call to make sure it's legal... jeez, I don't even think the software vendors that create these programs warn people this much.
