well they are backordered i can tell you that.
the last one i ordered said backorder, even the moguls are backordered.
it makes for some very unhappy customer.
and i dont think telling them your not going to pay for services your not getting is gonna work. then they will just shut ur phone off all together haha.
all i can say is be patient. we cant give you a phone we cant get!

ps i run an indirect service center in okla.

I think in this situation the OP has a valid argument for not paying the bill while waiting for a replacement. If you are paying for insurance Sprint has an obligation to replace the phone, or should at least provide a loaner phone until another TP arrives. I am currently waiting for a replacement TP as well, luckily mine still works great, just being replaced due to the chrome.

There are 4 Sprint stores within 10 miles of my home (West Chester, OH) and 2 of them had at least 8 TPs in stock and another one had 2.

I just got a 3rd TP (my first one locked up the first night and couldn't be reset, I broke the USB port on my 2nd one.) last week and so far it is fantastic...doesn't heat up, doesn't lock up overnight, seems to run faster, etc. It has a 12/28/08 build date for what it' worth.

I was afraid that I'd have to get a refurb unit when I broke the charge port on my 2nd one, but they just gave me another brand new one and they even let me keep everything that came with mine as well as the new one so I ended up with extra battery, battery cover, stylus, etc.

I couldn't believe they had that many in stock!

I received a refurb phone after it was on back order for weeks and it had the blown sounding speaker problem that's hard reset resistant. So I'm still with my broken phone waiting for another back order TP. It's been about a month with a broken phone.

I've gotten 2 replacements (first replacment due to chrome flaking in my hands, second due to the first replacement being screwed up out of the box) and each came in about 10 days. They told me at least a month both times, and it came much sooner.

Way back when my Mogul died (and they didn't have any replacements available) and they gave me an upgrade deal on the TP (just had to wait until launch), I told them I didn't want to pay while my phone was down. So they credited me my bill amt for one month. Of course, I was talking to an escalations manager, but they agreed with me and gave me no hassle when I said it wasn't fair for me to pay for the 3 weeks that my phone was totally useless.

from what i hear the TP should be readily avail again Jan 19th Hope this is truely the case as i need a fully working pro.. of course same contact as usual so should be spot on.
