I think in this situation the OP has a valid argument for not paying the bill while waiting for a replacement. If you are paying for insurance Sprint has an obligation to replace the phone, or should at least provide a loaner phone until another TP arrives. I am currently waiting for a replacement TP as well, luckily mine still works great, just being replaced due to the chrome.
