I had a tech say u would get charged no matter what type of call forwarding u put on ur phone. However I let them add it anyway, but after 2 bills i havent been charged. Easiest way is like he mentioned dont even mention forwarding, just tell them to change the number that your voicemail goes to. But again like mentioned, make sure its set up on your account to be Conditional. Seems only way people get charged is if the tech does apply this properly on your account. So set it up, then call back in a day or 2 and check that its down as conditional in your accounts. Yes this is at your own risk, but worst case is to simply call back every other day or so to see if you are incurring charges, u wont get a sky high bill from that even if by chance u get charged.
