Can bluetooth affect GPS lock?

I am looking for some help and advise here.
I have GPS working very well with aGPS enabled. I can get lock within seconds which is a very good sign.
Recently I was driving with bluetooth On on my TP and the satellite lock was constantly disapearing. What I mean I can see the lock is happening and then after one second it's gone. Few seconds later it happens again.
Is it something new or the problem is known and what is more important can it be fixed?
I appreciate any help here.

Device - TP GSM, ROM - Energy 23569 July 11 Cookie. Radio 1.08.25.20M1.

Re: Can bluetooth affect GPS lock?

the short answer is, it shouldnt. the long answer is, there could be something going bad in the phone causing the issue. how do you know your losing GPS lock? just because the "lock" is disappearing doesnt mean your not still tracking sats. it could just be as simple as an icon problem. one could be interfering with the other.

Re: Can bluetooth affect GPS lock?

Short answer is heck yea it can. I don't know why, but when im using my cars stereo BT and a gps program, the BT and gps start glitching bad, music skips and gps refreshes really slow. Also when you use wifi and bt things get glitchy too. I dont know if its a hardware or software thing, but its annoying as all hell, but I can tell you a touch pro is stronger than a windsheld.

Re: Can bluetooth affect GPS lock?

Oh well. It doesn't sound good.
I know the lock is lost when my TomTom screen goes grey and my car simbol freezes in it's last position.
I guess I need to try different radios and see the result.

Thank you for your feedback.

Re: Can bluetooth affect GPS lock?

I don't have a definite answer why, but installing radio 1.14.25.35 fixed the problem.
I only can suggest the radio has all the communication drivers and the new ones gave me greater stability.
The only thing I noticed the volume running TomTom and via bluetooth is slightly lower compare to the one I had before (or at least it seems this way). Back to the search function to boost audio volume.
