replacement touch pro has yellowish screen? - Page 7

it's all good. i took your info as useful because if sprint does play ball and give me a new one i won't think it's broken because of the screen color. i specifically told them that i was tired of going to the store and wasting an hour or more getting mine "fixed" and told them to note the account that any more bad ones and i want a new model. and they send this POS.

you got "Ol Yeller". ALl HTC devices have jundice. Tellow and white screens. I hate the yellow ones and always return them. When I had my original Mogul replaced because of a broken stylus clip, Sprint sent me one cuz I was under the 30 days. Well.. they sent me a yellow screen. I sent it back and they sent me another yellow screen. Sent it back and they sent me another yellow screen. Did it one more time and again.. a yellow screen. Luckily the Touch can out and they decided to give me the touch instead. Well...... I ended loosing it and Asurion replaced it with a yellow screen touch. I sent it back and they sent mea white screen. Finally. Now I have a Touch pro. ANd ,my GF got stuck with a yellow screen Pro. She does not want to keep sending it back over and over like I did so she just lives with it. hehehe. True story.

When I got my replacement and saw the yellow screen, I was pissed off too.
Thats why I did the research and found out about the new screen supplier.

Doesn't hurt that I have a friend who works for HTC America :P

Maybe some of the screens are really yellow, and are very obvious, but the one I have, I would never have known until I compared it to my old TP.

I even went to a Sprint store and asked to see a new store model (they had just stuck up a new from a box phone as a display model), same yellow screen.

Annoying at first, but after a day I stopped noticing completely.

I think I notice mine so much because I have a white theme on mine. I've looked at that thing so much with all the tweaking and what not, I know what color it's supposed to be. I'll probably just change my them so I won't be so annoyed.

i was going to play the return til i'm satisfied thing but i don't think i should have to. i just wish for once with me sprint would do the right thing without me having to threaten to cancel. but now i see that they will always be content with being number 3.

Ya. Sprint Quality control over HTC ppc's is terrible I always play the "return mambo" with Sprint.

That is true,I just had my TP replaced at the Sprint store and also noticed the not so sharp screen as my first TP.I pointed it out to the tech and he pulled out 6 of them and they were all dull as well,I then remembered the first time I had my Mogul replaced I noticed the same thing,yellow duller screen.I latter found out it is because they started using cheaper screens.Some of you guys may remember when the Mogul first came out they had Pocket PC printed on them,those were the ones with the nicer screens.So now it looks like HTC has done it to us again!!!!!!!
