6/8/09 FIRMWARE UPDATE: Verizon GPS Unlocked

Bored. Is it neccasary to install "PPST2.01.cab " each time that I cook a new rom and if so is there a way to incorporate into the rom since I only have to do the *228 option once if I don't use the 1234 clear memory hard reset .Thanks

if your device is unlocked you should use the other method

clear storage did clear my fix but i'm unsure if it will clear the new cab

I have the sprint touch pro and the gps program is horrible in any weather. Has anyone found that this firmware update will improve anything for the sprint touch pro?

Bored, GPS works great for me with your fix. I've been using it since your first release. Is there any reason I should install this new cab onto my phone, or can I just stick with your fix?

Interesting problem for me. I have been flashing the new Verizon ROM several times since its release, and the GPS has worked quick and flawless without any additional hacks. I had to hard reset after trying to get a custom task bar going from the tsowen thread, and the GPS no longer works. I flashed again this morning, *228 programmed, updated Quick GPS, installed GPS Tool and nada.... Very strange problem...

EDIT: I tried flashing to a different radio, no dice. Reflashed to Mighty ROM and 5 second lock... So now I will try the VZW flash again and see what happens...

EDIT2: So I got home and flashed back to the exact same VZW ROM I did this morning and I get a three second lock on Google Maps..!?? Obviously, some bit got flipped somewhere that took two overwrites to get back. Wonder if all this flashing is wearing out the static ram cells..

If I extract the contents of the MR1 update and change the pagepool to 10, will this brick my phone if I dont have the hard spl loaded?
