I looked there, and even did a search on the entire mobile device via activesync. I see ppt.exe, but I assumed that was powerpoint.

Hey Guys,

I've got the Mighty ROM Win 6.5 running right now, and I'm wondering if the two will work together. I really like the stability and responsiveness of Mighty ROM, and I don't want to ditch that just for GPS.

It took me 3 hours to get it all working (I'm admittedly newbie to this whole area), so if I'm missing something completely obvious, please don't be too angry.

I'm just wondering if I have to do something special. I set Google Maps to COM4, which is how it's set in the settings. And I've got the message "Seeking GPS Satellites (545783104)" the number I'm guessing has something to do with the number of places its looking. Should I just be patient and let it zero in, or do I need to do something?

this fix will work no matter the rom, you will be fine with the mighty rom

Ok, no one has any idea?
Surely I am not the only one that simply does not have the ppst.exe file in my phone's windows directory. I bought the phone, brought it home, made no changes, and this file simply does not exist. Please, any ideas? I need to get the GPS working.

use total commander and make sure you have it set to be able to see hidden and system files.

I'm using explorer and have it set to see hidden files and system files. Is total commander going to reveal something else?

I just got a replacement (brand new in box) from Verixon store last week, it is there... in the stock rom, I missed it the first time by but found it. if it's really not there then it is downloadable in the first post

as always make a backup first.

I did a quick search of the thread about this but I am still confused. Do I have to have the HTC GPS Tool open every time I want to use GPS? And the tool won't save my changes so I have to manually do it every time I open the app. Is this supposed to happen.
