Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

user #280 with problem reporting in!

I bought my tp quite a whiile ago (oct 08 ). I noticed this bubble just a few days ago at work, under florescent lights.

Since its been so long would bestbuy still replace it? Or do i need to hit up sprint?

My gut says Sprint is who you should be talking to. BB might be a waste of time, since their return policy has expired. Or you could try HTC.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

Yeah I had the "oil slick" when I 1st got my TP... Tech Support looked at it couldn't fix it and since the water mark wasn't set off agreed that it was an issue with the phone and replaced it and didn't even use up one of my insurance swaps

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

yea, ur paying for it. but if you go over the limit, either you're too careless, or there's somethin fishy goin on...

every type of insurance has SOME predefined limits imposed upon it.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

I'm now a member of the oily spot club. I'm not surprised, in fact after having 5 Moguls with the dreaded white spot, I kind of expected it. This is my third HTC designed device and all have had flaws that are/were all too common place (6700 -bluetooth, Mogul/6800- white spot, usb port, TP- oily spots, creaky battery cover). The return rate must be astounding on these devices and because HTC disavows any knowledge or responsibility of the issues, possibly a prime reason why the insurance deductibles are rising. I only have a TP because it was a replacement for my 5th failed Mogul. I think I'm done with HTC in general. They know how to design for the spec sheet, but not for reliability. When the time comes to buy a new device, not being designed and made by HTC has moved high up on my desirable features list.
