Re: Using RDP (Remote Desktop) on a Touch Pro Feedback

The Verizon TP comes with remote desktop installed, I guess the Sprint doesn't. If you look up a few posts in this thread, you will see that basilray was kind enough to attach the cab file you need to install it.

I have a feeling that even with glasses, it would be tough to highlight a file and rename it.

I love the built in RDP I just wish I could zoom in just one level. I need glasses I know.
Try zaDesktop. It lets you zoom before you connect or within the session as well as set your screen size from a drop down menu. It also gives you a menu button to right click which comes in very handy. Very easy program to use.

Remote Desktop is a standard component of WM 6.1 but Sprint doesn't include it in their stock ROM. It's included in some of the custom ROMS. Otherwise, download either the 6 or 6.1. I have tried both and liked the way the Finster WM6 worked on my Pro better. The 6.1 is in post #13 and I put the 6.0 here:

File Type: cab WM6 RDP-Finster.cab (740.1 KB, 108 views) Click for barcode!

Anyone use Logmein on the Touch Pro? I'm planning on upgrading to the Touch Pro soon and have been using Logmein.

Wow thanks! I wish I could press the button twice. zaDesktop zoomed in nicely. A little sluggish but I can see irc (no ppc client with blowfish) and my file server just fine. =D>

Re: Using RDP (Remote Desktop) on a Touch Pro Feedback

My computer seems to have a standard ip number... 192.168. blah blah. I ran ipconfig to find this. Now how do I find the real IP address and tell my router to pass through it?

Ok I found the problem. I'm using XP Home which doesn't allow this to happen. Any other free alternatives?
