Picture Mail showing online, but not sending to phone. - Page 3

I even installed microsoft's windows mobile update for IMAP sendmail issues. I have the picturemail.cab from Sprint. I also have the weather database editor installed, with google maps. Lastly, the Audiofix to increase the volume.

These are my only custom apps. None of which should affect the picture mail.

I think the previous poster was right --- if I don't have picture mail loaded already in my task manager... then I won't get them as they are sent to me. It's like I have to load the picture mail app, go to the sprint site, and then forward all the messages to me again just to get them on my phone.

Very uncool. Lol.

Only thing is, I know I have received picture mail when my app was not opened. I think this might just be a coincidence to be honest but weirder things have happened. My true feelings on this issue though is simply there is a problem with Sprints Picture mail service or the app it's self.

Update:

Honestly I called Sprint and said, "I'm not getting my picture mail on my phone, but I do get them on the Sprint website."

She said, "let me reset your picture mail account, just one moment."

Then she told me specifically to take the battery out for 2 minutes, and then turn my phone back on and she sent a sample message.

I purposely made sure my picture mail app was *not* open. I received her picture message.

Then I had 6 different friends send me a picture message... and *all* of them have come in a very timely manner and gave me the "new picture mail" message on my phone.

So far, by having your sprint picture mail account "reset" you will start to receive your pictures on your phone again. (If you had the problem in the first place.)

By the way, just to add to it, after every picture I got out of the 6, I closed the picture mail app again to make sure it did not need to be open. Thankfully it didn't.

Problem possibly solved.

i had this same issue... i called in to CS and they finally reset it after the 3rd time calling in... after the reset they had me test it out for 5 days and call back if problems... and yea there were problems... they had to file a trouble ticket about it... the answer they gave me was that there was a hicup in the network and gave me my whole rate plan... so i dont know if there is a phone issue or a network issue...

I just found out that I received 4 messages on my Pic Mail account on Nov 12...that I NEVER received on my phone!! I will call CS and immediately ask them to reset my Picture Mail account.

ay bro..if u hadnt called sprint CS yet, try uninstalling sprint picture mail under settings/remove programs....hell soft reset....then reinstall sprint picture mail cab..c if that'll do it..shud only have to do it once, and thats only when its necessary..lemme kno if that does it 4 ya

Let us know if it works for you. Try sending yourself picture messages after getting it reset and confirm it here if you can. Have you ever gotten a picture message before November 12? What about after? This the first time you dealt with picture messages on the TP? Just getting a diagnosis.

i also had the problem. im talking to sprint now to see if they can reset it to see if that works. if not, ill stick to sMMS. ill keep everyone posted.
