Yes, this worked for me very well. And to be honest I think I like this dialer better anyway. Plus it responds faster as well.

i just tried this on my sprint touch pro for the heck of it... it increased my boot time ALOT.

i advise everyone to do this, and not to be an jerk about it, but now im sitting at 26% ram in use, i have more than i'll EVER use lol... tbh vzw users, ur not going to use more than 50 megs

I know I have seen this skin on xda... wonder if deleting the htc version and loading up the xda one would let you still use the dialer but also save on ram.

I have the sprint tp so I'm not eager to try it but I might just to see.

Another way to enable more ram is to run SKTools > Optimize > Optimize for Memory. I am still running the HTC Dialer and have 47MB free at Boot.

i tested this hack and saved 6mb... but still with so much free i went back, but i know where i can save 6 if needed.

Yes by using the wm dialer you'll get rings faster (instead of a 3 second delay or so). You should also adjust your Slot cycle index (SCI) to 1 and you'll be set. You won't be able to get rings much faster after those two tweaks.

But keep in mind, reducing your SCI eats battery a bit faster

It depends on what the default dialer is. The stock one for the mogul was worthless unless you used a stylus.

Good find though, 10mb is alot lol.

works good on sprint, i got back 8mb so every little bit helps even if i didnt need it that much.
