well i used the same stuff used to make signs to be put on windows, cars etc.


i knew of a place at my local shopping mall that made funny signs and license plates and they have the machine to cut whatever you want... told them what i wanted and they cut it...

not sure on the name but its vinyl.... the kind you peel the back and the decal is stuck to a clear plastic, you place the decal where ever you want and peal the clear plastic to leave the decal where you put it...

i was worried about the decal falling off when i put it back in the hot water but it didnt...


i just rubbed it hard and pressed on it for a while... made sure it didnt have any bubbles and tried it.


this stuff is used on car, and people use heat guns to get it to fit right on cars, so it works well with heat.


hope this helps, i dont know the " official" name for it but look for any custom car shops in your area that can cut decals and go from there. they should be able to cut anything you want.

Me and my roommate just did this and it went great. We had to use the liquid RIT dye as all the powder dye was gone.

wow after years of reading ppcgeeks, this thread has gave me a reason to join. anybody know if i could do my diamond a different color besides black. if not, i already have a nice tribal design that i can incorporate with black and burgandy

you can dye it any color... just find what you want... read my post above in regards to adding a design.

Just did mine. Looked in my laundry cabinet and sure enough I had the exact stuff. I think my mom bought it to dye some shirts or something lol but this was way more important.

SLIGHTLY warped but fits way more snug now and turned out perfect with no haze or anything over the camera. Thanks so much.

hmm got pictures? sounds like a good idea. My local flea market make those what is the dimension or shape you ask them to made?

but i was thinking, wouldn't the stock red on the back of the touch diamond make a color like blue turn out wrong

okay, this thread is too long to be searching for battery covers, i only read until the 42 page and i just wanted to ask if there is anybody selling covers or are we still trying to get them from sprint stores?

No you can't.

I have a Diamond and I tried to dye it navy blue, royal blue, sunshine orange, wine, and kelly green.

Black is the only color you can do with the Sprint burgundy Diamond cover.

ok, so I finally got an extra cover. I've got an idea for a design, but was curious how well yellow would show up (sprint grey cover) also would a 2nd dip in green turn the yellow blue?
