Just did mine like your method. I did the bestskinsever over it though, hopefully it lasts a lot longer than 3 months.

Could we get all the instructions for the different colors posted on the first page? I see what people have done but I would really like to see how they got the colors. I got hosed and turned mine purple with royal blue and really want a light blue on my phone.

Heat 2-3 cups water to medium low in pot. Add very little dye. Stir. Wash cover with soap and water. Put cover into dye backside down. Stir dye without hitting cover. Keep checking cover color every couple minutes. After 10 minutes, if you want it darker, remove cover, rinse with cold water, add a little more dye to water, stir it up, put cover back in. Continue until you have the color you want.

Remember, LESS IS BEST when adding the dye. You can always add more to darken up a color, but you can't lighten up a cover when it's past the shade you want. I haven't tried the color remover yet, but I will soon and post my results on re-dying a cover after.
