i use this waterproof and flexible as hell pinstripe thats used on firetrucks. i draw my design on that and than get it cut out the way i want and stick her on. . (i used to work at HME painting fire trucks) since it is waterproof and meant for a firetruck it can take alot of water lmao. than when im done i peel it off and run cold water over the cover. than i use the same color die ( you can use a different color if wanted) and just dip the battery cover in and out of the cup in 10 second increments until i get the fade that i wanted to ghost it off.
Thanks for the idea! It looks great, btw

I don't think white dye exists. You might try the RIT color remover then painting it white with some sort of spray paint or something. Of course you'd have to mask off the camera lens.

Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!

I've tried two stores, including a corporate / repair center one, and they refuse to give out spare battery covers.

Anyone have a spare black battery cover to spare? I'd wait for the Alltel one if it wasn't for the fact they plastered their Alltel logo on the camera section where "HTC" normally is.

Seems like whatever color i used the there was a red tint. (navy blue came out dark purple)
also the dark colors (dark brown, and navy blue) really do come out dark to get the correct color

One of the cleanest paint jobs i've seen good job-

Yup, I am able to press the hardware buttons fine with it now. But I still like the silicone case because it raises the volume keys and power key.

For the plastic case I cut out the middle bar using normal wire cutters. Then used a fingernail filer to file it down. Rough side of file first, then smooth side to buff out.
