Doing red next. For those of you that did the "blood red", was that scarlet?
And after that, a nice forest green. Dark green was way too dark from the get go, so i saw a lighter green I'll use.

For those of you that haven't gotten this yet, whatever color the box is, it will come out WAY darker. Be prepared.

I want to dye the cover black, leaving a patch of silver (original colour), then dye it again with another colour, maybe red, or blue. Whould it mess up the already dyed black?

To get my red, I did about 2/3 a pack of scarlet.

Well folks it finally time for me to re-dye my cover! That was a very good run of 4 months! but now the beveled edges on the bottom are starting to show thru the original burgundy again... I'm VERY pleased and impressed with how long that lasted!... this time i'll try the liquid dye...

That was SCARLET, yes. The pic i posted it what I am currently using with the XenRed theme...looks awesome! I added the dye slowly as well...very little too. Used the liquid.

No, I dyed my spare black in a thing of royal blue just to see if it would change at all and it didn't.

It's possible that reheating or re-wetting the already done black could cause it to bleed over though

Can a lighter colour actually change such a dark colour as black? Reheating might cause a lil bleeding but the water should be no prob...........well ill still do it and see hope i dont f*** it up........

no... a lighter color will have very little effect on an already black cover... if any.

I just got my phone replaced so re-dyed mine again. I was hoping for gun metal color. Used a ceramic cup in the office and used the hot water from the water dispenser. I only poured in about 2 spoon of liquid black in the cup. Mixed it and threw the cover in for about 6 minutes and it still turned out black. Dang it! Looks like ill have to get another cover.
