You have any pics? I'd love to make my controllers and console black.

Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!

Two days later and I'm still buffering the dye out of my cover, it must be the cold weather or something. Seems like every morning residual comes up to the surface and I have to take a paper towel and buff it again to keep the dye from bleeding onto my fingers... lol I have purple palms now.

I'm sure this wont keep happening forever, but I'm tempted to visit the Sprint store and ask for a new cover. Nonetheless, I'm loving the black cover!

I want to do this to my cover. How does it hold up when the phone is in the belt pouch? i am using Mogul case with mine and i see some scuffs starting to form on the cover.

Anyone else care to report who did this already? Bleeding? Color rubbing off? I'm worried I'll have black hands or staind pants pockets. I guess i could put on a full body cover like bodyguardz and eliminate most of that worry.

I don't think I would do an Xbox controller, since it seems to rub off. Unless you enjoy black fingers.

Re: A $1.48 goes a long way... Black Battery Cover!

I did this on a Diamond and it's starting to FLAKE off at the edge. It doesn't look like the cover absorbed the dye, but rather creating a coating ontop of the burgundy... however I would like to mention that I cooked mine for only 5 min. Not too much of a concern though as I bought a black rubberized hard case for the phone but the area near the stylus is flaking off.

i posted it earlier... mine will bleed mildly if i hold it for LONG amounts of time meaning over 2-3 hours nonstop. nothing crazy just a mild dusting of black left on my hand, no noticeable fading on my cover at all either. I'm thinking this is because i tend to have seaty hands, but i'm not certain if that accelorates the bleeding, or if it's just a normal expectation due to frequent use.

You're pants will be fine without question.
