Does anyone else have a crack in the chrome?

It does scratch the chrome, but only when grit and dirt get between the case and chrome, which is very difficult to prevent.

I have it and its scratched the hell out of my phone. But i have droped it a few time and it does a good job of protecting the phone, might have to take my phone to sprint to see if they will replace it. Got my phone Nov 2nd and seem to fall under the ESN range

so they are replacing the whole phone and not just putting a new bezel on it? my chrome is cracked and I fall within the ESN range. Perhpas I will put the stock rom back on and take it to the store.
Has anyone had sprint send a new phone when dealing with the CSR's or email?

Mines is just flakign away chrome. I have never dropped it and I have like spots here and there that are black (black plastic) I am on the never ending backorder list.

I only have a small chip, barely noticeable between the keyboard & screen. Going to see if I can figure out what the ESN range is so if it gets worse I can take it in.

Well, it is within that ESN range. But, has anyone in Ft. Myers, FL area confirmed this with a local Sprint Store? I had asked one about this when I first heard and they said they had never heard of any such issue.

My chrome as all screwed up horribly, so they backordered me a new one. I received the new one two days ago (only a week after them placing the order), new in box. I have only turned it on to check manufacture date (Nov 24), have been too busy to activate it, and won't get the chance to do set the new device up and activate until tomorrow afternoon.

So mine has been cracking since mid-November, went in to a Sprint store last week and talked to this guy who said he had never heard of any problem with the chrome. And I was two days past my 30 day period where he said I could have just gotten it swapped out. Maybe I'll go back in later this week and talk to them again, or go to a different store.

Is this the cracking/flaking that everyone else is getting? I haven't dropped this phone once.

Yikes, that's bad! Sure the dog didn't get a hold of it? Looks like it's been used as a chew toy.

You could try another store...it sounds like there is a memo out there, but not everyone may read memos. As a worst case scenario, if you don't already have the insurance, maybe you can add it still and use the $50 deductible option if you really want. I don't think you should have to -- if you haven't done anything beyond normal use to it, that certainly doesn't look like normal wear and tear should cause that. But if all else fails, the insurance is a nice option to have.
