Re: Chrome Bezel
I dropped mine on pavement and it landed on the back corner, dented the metal chrome on the back then it fell forward and chipped the plastic chrome on all 4 front corners! I could have swapped it out, but I had a 100% working phone and I didnt want to risk swaping it and getting a bad one so I lived with it.
I went out and got a silver sharpie and filled in the black scratches and it looked GOOD. Unfotunatly the marker eventually rubbed off. I am considering trying a silver nail polish, but I dont know if I want to go shopping for nail polish to match my phone. As a guy, that may be a little weird. |

These non-issues aren't as big a deal as the charging issue, for example. |

Re: Chrome Bezel
I also droped mine from like maybe 2 1/2 feet and it broke the chrome all the way thru, from the front to back on the side, its still holding up but it worries me because as mentioned I know phones are not made for bieng droped but my 6800 fell many times and nothing more than a scratch or nick and this thing 1 drop and its busted up...

I was starting to wonder about this....I had some recent issues with my phone (wasn't related to this) but I brought up the typical issues like heat, battery and other stuff to one of the Sprint retention people and they said that there were no issues with battery or heat (weird I know) but that the cracking of the chrome bezel is a known issue and that there will be an update coming with no ETA. I have yet to drop my phone so it's not a concern for me but Sprint is aware of it so it seems. |
