Re: How do you like your Touch Pro?

I have been playing with PPCs (and HPCs) for over 10 years, and this one has had more problems than any I have laid my hands on.

I sincerely hope it is just Best Buy's stock, but since I hear so many other issues, like the charging and whatnot, I am starting to think it's not just the BB stock..

edit: This poll should be reworded... ask if people are having PROBLEMS and if they still like the Pro. Clearly people who have had no problems are most likely going to love the phone.

Re: How do you like your Touch Pro?

I have been using windows mobile phones for a few years now. I had the Mogul 68oo for the last few months. i bought the touch pro last week. Yes there are many issues, none of which can not be dealt with. the mogul in comparison sux!!! you can not compare the two phones. the touch pro has a heck of alot of more memory, which helps for those who use a phone alot. im really happy with the upgrade, and we will deal with all issues as they come along. this is part of the fun!!!! if you don't want problems go buy a blackberry!!! the fun of windows mobile is the large amount of issues and hacks you get. we can have so much more fun hacking registrys and stuff, vs having a simple OS!!!just my humble opinion.

The problem though with the pole is that not everyone uses the phone in the same way so many of the problems people find either don't bother them, rarely encounter it or never encounter them.

Also you have to take into account what phones some of the voters came from originally. I would suspect a lot of the haters might have come from Blackberry's or similar.

I was one of the ones that voted "What a stupid question never ask me anything again" lol. I have some of the issues that have been reported but I still love the phone over all and I am far more tolerant then others might be.

In truth though, the big thing that bugs me the most about people complaining about the phone, probably never bothered to test the phone out first. They just wanted the "next big thing" and purchased with no actual experience with the phone. Try before you buy and you save yourself a lot of headaches.

Re: How do you like your Touch Pro?

How many people do you think actually tried it before they bought it? the way people was acting before this thing came out. I almost never early adopt anything outside of Xboxes PS3s or whatever and im p**sed at myself for buying this so early, I broke my rule. When the Mogul came out I sat on my money waited a few months and a lot of the issues was fixed with custom ROMS and tweaks. Flash to the Pro. I just knew this was it, faster processor, more RAM, VGA but the battery sucks hard. I didn't vote hate I voted I need more time and as of today i'm 85% sure i'm selling this to my business partner. I will be back to this phone in a couple months, but right now I need a device to last longer than few hours.

Not enough considering the amount of complaints.

And this would be logical since you knew you didn't test it first. Not harping solely on people that didn't test it out first. I didn't either to be honest but I did have the Touch and the Diamond so I knew the basic phone functions, and with the Diamond I knew the potential problems.

Basically what I am saying is simply since I didn't try it first, I have little to no right to really complain about things. I mean, as a customer of course it's my right to complain when the product is not up to specs. But, I am at my own mercy if I dive in without trying it out first or collecting as much unbiased information as I could before purchasing.

For me, the Touch Pro is as I expected. It works great the majority of the time. I knew battery would be an issue and I knew there would be small annoying things with it. I jumped feet first anyway and am glad I did.

Re: How do you like your Touch Pro?

I can't say I didn't know that this phone would have issues seeing that it just came out. So I can't complain too hard. anything that hits the market and you run out to get the first one your going to run into some problems. I do voice myself on here and get tons of help so it eases my pain.

I didn't even look at a demo at the store. I was so excited that it was out and I could afford one that I had to buy it.

I love it! It's quite a leap from the Mogul and is worth every penny!
