Music in TF3D

I had music on a previous memory card that was automatically added to the TF3D phone library, but I just switched to a new memory card and now all those old songs are still in the phone library, but they all have error marks because they cannot be located... How do I update the library in TF3D to get rid of all these missing music files.. Thanks!

Re: Music in TF3D

Do a soft reset first just to be sure. Then, go to your Music tab, then click on Library. slide over to All Songs and click on any song that should now be from your current library. That should clear up the old list and get all of your new songs up on the now playing tab.

grr
is there any way to search or jump in this music player?
i get one podcast that has no tag info other than the title, and it starts with U, so the only way to get to it is to scroll thru all my music.
yuk.

Re: Music in TF3D

While I love the cool factor in using Touch Flo 3D to access this music player, that's about the only good thing about it. The negatives I've found so far are: -You can't turn off the screen and have the music continue to play, which really sucks the battery life out of the phone -It is awkward to create playlists and navigate from song to song -It is slow when you add a large amount of songs. I don't want this to turn into another "what music players are the best" thread, but unfortunately I had to go with a third party music player. I went with Kinoma Player because it does ALMOST every thing I want. Plus, with it's brilliant interface with Orb, I can access ALL of my music on my desktop extremely quickly. If I have no cell connection, like on an airplane, my 8 gig card has got plenty of music, but if I'm in my car, I can smoothly and easily access every single song I own. The only thing I feel I'm missing with it is the cool access to it from Touch Flow 3d. That goes for any third party music player though. If I can figure out a way to have the Music tab on TF3D launch my own music player I'd be thrilled.

uhm I think that may be you. I was listening to music yesterday and I turned it off and the music kept playing, plus the volume worked when off!
I usually have a playlist file so I add it to my music directory and I'm good to go. But the Kinoma player is great, especially on youtube, but it ate my battery on the mogul!
And my TP battery may be just as short as the mogul so I'll stick with the TP music player. Boring as it is, the thing does work..

From this thread, it looks like you may be the only one who is able to turn off your screen and have the default music player continue to play from TF3D. Maybe we can find out how you're able to do that, it would be helpful. Also, did you find that Kinoma drew a lot of battery in normal local music playback or just when it was connected to the net for YouTube (or I guess Orb too)?

Re: Music in TF3D

I noticed that the music continues to play when you hit the power button only if a headphone is plugged in. Whether its the one that came with it or bluetooth headphones.

FWIW, Kinoma Play is engineered to sip from the battery as little as possible, and doesn't use more power than other players in our internal tests. I use it for hours every day on my Q9c with the extended battery.

I checked in with our support folks, and they hadn't heard of similar problems. They recommended that folks contact them (even if they're using Kinoma FreePlay) if they see unusual battery use.
