Re: Asuion replacements (sending incorrect device)

I got my touch pro replacement, but sprint could not activate it! They said the phone was active on another account and they couldnt do anything. The phone looked brand new from asurion, and I called them and they said it was brand new. I dont know whats going on.

Asurion has to send me a new phone now, and I have to wait till next week. Has anyone run into this problem? How the hell can they not activate a new phone? Is it not really new?

Mine was not a refurb, and I suspect his is not either. Did you get the ESN off the box or the back of the phone? Its possible the boxes got mixed up in the factory (seen it happen)

The ESN off the back of the phone matches the one on the box so thats not the problem.

Kinda hard to send a refurbished touch pro when they haven't begun to ship refurbished ones yet.

I just received my replacement as well. It is a new phone. It came with a small return label envelope. Usually it comes with a big UPS package to return the broken phone. Im pretty sure just the phone will fit in the return label. Does that mean all I have to end back is the phone and I keep the acc?

placed an order today, they told me they were on backorder.... im not mad as long i dont get a 2 and a half week horror story like some of you

The usb port on my phone crapped out, partially design issues, partially my fault. I cant play music through it and i had to play with it to make it take charge, there was no way i was going back to the mogul for 2 weeks lol

Re: Asuion replacements (sending incorrect device)

I was looking thru the invoice of my last asurion replacement to see if there would be a way to track the shipment, since asurion is so terrible at updating their shipping info. They sent me a touch pro which couldn't be activated with sprint- even though it was brand new, so I have to wait for another one.

Anyways, those waiting on a replacement, try this:

You will need to call asurion and get your claim's "request number" according to one of the reps. It may also be called the claim number, or PO number. Should be 8 digits.

Go to UPS track by reference here: http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/refer...&WT.svl=SubNav

For the reference, enter: "sprint account number"-"asurion claim number" without the quotes, but with the dash, so for example: 123456789-87654321

Fill in the destination zip code and you should get your package information.

I just got my replacement in today. IT ONLY TOOK 4 DAYS! Thats faster than they quoted me, i was told 7-10 lol

And ive never had a replacement from these guys before, so when i opened the package to see a brand new touchpro box, i was a bit surprised.... it might be a refurb for all i know, but it sure looks brand new. No dings, scratches, or anything obvious. The keyboard is well lit (as opposed to my last) and all the accesories were included (good for me, my last set of headphones got ran over by my own car... dont ask lol). Im going to test it out a bit and hit the build date thread.

I remember a certain # to put int hat will actually list if the phone is refurbished. It'll have a refurb date. Maybe ##778# or something? I forgot. Anyone?
