Asuion replacements (sending incorrect device)
 

For those unlucky few who have had a tragic accident happen to their touch pro, has anyone received one frmo asurion yet? Is it new? refurb? I couldn't imagine they already have refurbs of these...

There hasn't been enough returns/exchanges yet to get a good amount of refurbs in stock (As they must go back to HTCs Factories to get "Re-certified"). It takes a while. You should be good to go if you filed a claim.

I don't think asurion can replace touch pro yet? Its new model might take some time.

Maybe in store swap then for new phone.. I know that is how i got my 6800 with alltel after my 6700 cracked the screen...

lost the 1gb but I have a 2gb that was in my Ic902 so I will use that now. they might also send a 1gb but im not 100% sure of that

awesome! let me know what you get. I did not get an email or anything, but I just called and confirmed with someone my phone shipped out yesterday. This is contrary to what I was told originally when I ordred that the phones were backordered and would be a minimum of 10 business days.

Of course I am happy it shipped.

hmm i still havent gotten any email... I wish I had a TK #.. I still am assuming since mine was also supposedly shipped that it would have to be brand new. There is just no way to have a furb in stock this quickly.

Im sure its a new unit and not a referb. you can check the status of the claim online, and or call in and ask a rep if there is a tracking number avali as of yet

I am getting a TP sent to me through Sprint (not Assurion) and I was also told they were on backorder. I sure as heck hope not!

funny but how can it be on backorder when they sill sell them everyday. I mean anything is possiable. Question why is aprint sending you one and not the insurance company?

hmm yeh wierd..

I checked the status of my claim online and says its processing check back later, yet when I called in, they said it had shipped on yesterday's truck. They didnt have any tracking info available and said it should update later today. hope this is normal.

Called Sprint about a problem of missing phone calls. "Advanced" tech support ordered me one. I am not sure what channels they send it through. The problem is outlined on my post labeled "MAJOR problem".

yes it happens your good man. your phone is on its way im sure. call ups tell them you have a package on its way but no trancking number. they will look up your addy try at say about 4-5pm to be sure they have had time to update the package tracking numbers

oh so your doing a exchange really. not lost or stollen i can understand it. should have tried the service center you might have lucked up if they had one in stock

ok well my tracking is up and running. My phone will be here on the 7th. Wished they over nighted it but hey good thing I had a spare phone

guh u suck! I keep getting told they have no update. And no TK# The guy at asurion said it should be a new phone though so.. patience I guess. Oh and they had my email wrong.. apparently cant spell superevilllama

No it's typically refurb if they have them and they don't come in a box with accessories.

Asurion sends tmobile customers everything brand new in box. My wife lost her Sk lx a few months ago and they sent everything. I got her the G1 the day it came out, now lets hope she doesnt lose that bad boy

I bought mine at best buy...can I get it exchanged there for no charge under (defective under best buy policies)
