Re: Touch Pro Video Cable - Build Your Own

is there any chance of frying something connected to the video cables if it was connected wrong or something shorted out on the cables? i am going to test it in a friends car and i am worried.

Re: Touch Pro Video Cable - Build Your Own

Depends how you do it. If you use the technique shown here or elsewhere that isolate any power sources away from where you are cutting and splicing then there is no way to cause damage. running a video or audio signal to ground or each other should not cause any damage.

But if are using another technique that allows for the possibility of running power (+5V) to another wire, say video, audio, or even ground, which could cause damage to either the phone or power supply.

Re: Touch Pro Video Cable - Build Your Own

Wow, how much does the adaptor cost if you were to purchase it new? Seems like a lot of work to save a few bucks.

Re: Touch Pro Video Cable - Build Your Own

It is more a question of having a cable now rather than waiting a month for online retailers to get them in stock.

That said, it took me less than an hour to design and make mine from scratch.

Re: Touch Pro Video Cable - Build Your Own

Hi all, first time I stumbled onto this site and WOW am I impressed with all the knowledgeable people here!
Anywho, at the risk of sounding like a newb (but I see a few others have asked similar things)
I REALLY want to get this working, but the 3 pics I'm seeing do not show this 4th pin that most are having trouble with and the original post said was included...
So I guess I'll just ask my question: Assuming this means on the 'male' end of the adapter that came with Titans (the end that will actually plug into the Pro), should I just count 4 pins from the left and remove that?

Thanks for all your help and thank you THANK YOU for this post Pzztgotbagz!
