Flip to Silence Question - Page 2

if its that important try a hard reset. although that is extremely odd. try making the flipping motion slowly. i dont think the accelerometer can measure if the phone is rightside up or upside down, just the motions that are required for the phone to be in this position. (IDK?)

try doing a full 360 and then another flip

No that didn't work either...IDK what it is...I thought it worked last nite but could be wrong..Its not that serious just wanted to figure it out..Thanks

it has nothing to do with the accelerometer, the light sensor is really all that is working to actually silence the phone. I have both the diamond and touch pro, and they work fine as far as silencing. it may be a problem with your light sensor, try a hard reset, and if it still does not work, i would suggest a replacement phone. Hope that helps.

thats why i told the op to put his hand under phone. works for me. hard reset.

Sucks though to have to do that..I always hate those..LoL..What else is the light sensor used for.?.Maybe its because of the screen protector..

Yeah mine doesn't work either. I tried on the table and my hand and I love the teeter game. Is there no setting for it? I haven't found it.

Mine didn't work either. This is the strange part. A soft reset didn't fix it. However, I went into bootloader mode to check about doing the Hard SPL unlock, and after that, it worked! Uhh, ok!

It's also used to control whether or not to enable the keyboard backlight and the screen backlight level.

You can use an app like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705 to backup all your info (contacts, SMS messages, email, etc) to make the process less painful
