Without knowing what exactly you did to the registry it is hard to say. If you did not back up your phone prior to any changes then you might be SOL and have to resort to a hard reset. I would try to PM a senior member and ask them if they can help you. But if you want a fresh start then do the HR. |

Re: In search of enlightenment, any takers?
well, the phone was probably like "hey, i need that", and since you renamed it, it was like "yeah, that's not there anymore, so i'll make another", so it made another.. and now you have two. you could delete the one, and rename the other back to the way it was? what harm could be done? i dunno, but there's files in there, they're just hidden.

LOL...now there's a way to describe how a computer talks. Too funny. I'm feelin what you're throwin down though. But without knowing the changes that were made it may make the problem worse. |

Re: In search of enlightenment, any takers?
First of all thanks for the replies!
I didn't make any changes to the registry at all, after I renamed the folder and forgot what it was originally, I panicked and powered it off. Im thinking thats what happened though that the device didnt find the folder upon start up (hence maybe why it took soo long to start up at first) then I suppose it was a really important folder, so it resorted to reinstalling itself (I had to set up the device again as if i had opened it from the box) What dont understand is why I had (because i removed the others) two working duplicates of opera, WMP, and internet explorer. ::shrug:: |
