In search of enlightenment, any takers?
Hey guys (and gals), new to this forum and looking for some help. To make a long story short I tried tweaking some registry files on my TP and accidently renamed the documents and settings folder which inevitably led to a slew of problems... (essentially my phone reinstalled itself when I turned it off from the power switch, which lead to some duplicate icons on the all programs screen)
in opening up the documents and settings there is only one folder nothing else, just the folder default. opening that up there is nothing in there either... The documents and settings folder i renamed is still there too, and thats also the same thing, documents and settings empty all but the default folder, open that up and thats also empty.
What could have prompted my phone to reinstall itself like that if the folders were essentially empty? And what harm could have been done as a result to the device?
