First of all thanks for the replies!
I didn't make any changes to the registry at all, after I renamed the folder and forgot what it was originally, I panicked and powered it off.
Im thinking thats what happened though that the device didnt find the folder upon start up (hence maybe why it took soo long to start up at first) then I suppose it was a really important folder, so it resorted to reinstalling itself (I had to set up the device again as if i had opened it from the box) What dont understand is why I had (because i removed the others) two working duplicates of opera, WMP, and internet explorer. ::shrug::
