Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
Verizon will be getting the Touch Pro this month.
Following a November 24 launch of the Touch Pro on Verizon, that'll leave just T-Mobile among the big four US carriers without a version of HTC's top-of-the-line QWERTY set -- though at a staggering $419.99 on a two-year contract, we're not sure that we'd bother anyway. To be fair, that price comes before a $70 mail-in rebate, but that only knocks it down to $350, which still makes the Touch Pro one of Verizon's priciest devices. Following telesales availability, we'll get to see it, touch it, and take it home from retail locations starting on December 1 http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/1...es-december-1/ |

I just got the complete specs from the sales sheet and it has a Qualcomm MSM7500A 528 mhz Processor... So it is more than just ram and the keyboard...

The real issue is whether the power usage/battery is messed up like the Sprint ones (at least many of the early ones I and other have). Heats up so bad, the safety protocols kick in and it stops charging (imagine running dead while it's plugged in!). I doubt it's significant, but may be the smaller memory helps with the power issues. The keyboard cut-back is ridiculous. There the Sprint version is great there (love Ctrl-Cut/Copy/Paste, etc).
