Edit: Okay I just read cnets review and they say it is a 7201A... I swear I read on phone arena it was a 7501A and also the cpu specs referred to it as a GSM CPU. They also say the Fuze has a 7201A and I don't think that a GSM and CDMA phone can have the same CPU...

you reversed it, GSM chips are even numbers CDMA chips are odd (at least from what I have seen from qualcomm chips.)

72** is gsm 75** is CDMA

Nope, 6800 was cdma... the numbers are just mapped to whatever they are... Lookup the white paper if you need to. But its correct, 750x = cdma, 720x = gsm...

Okay I just saw a screen shot of the system info on the Sprint Touch Pro and it is for sure a 7501A.

So back to the original question...

What is difference between
7500A and the 7501A?

well I posted about the difference, and I did a little searching. from what I read here is how I understand it.

the verizon TP uses the same chipset as the titan(xv6800) but dont get all mad yet. that chip is actually really powerful (if it comes with the correct drivers) the 7501a was probably tacked on to show that they upgraded the ram on the sprint version (so far the only real difference I have seen between the two spec wise). if you find a spec sheet on the MSM7500A it can handle all that the sprint TP can do and more, it just wasn't enabled. all in all I am guessing the only difference will be the ammount of ram in the phones. and honestly I dont know about you but I have yet to use even close to the full ram potential on my TP so I am willing to bet that there won't be much of a perceved perforomance difference unles some super heavey programs come out soon.

You are right got them mixed up.

As far as the chips go it's good to know that the only real difference is the RAM which I'm still unsure about if that will be enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I also remember hearing that the gps can be unlocked to use with software such as TomTom. So the VZW phone may not be as bad as we once thought, minus the completely idiotic keyboard.

it comes down to price.......and what's been posted compared to what the competition is sell theirs for.......OUCH

But at least we KNOW it IS coming out for VZW

WE should get clarification on the memory specs - VZW could be posting available memory after the OS is installed. From the PDF Training Manual - GPS, Accelerometer and CPU looks to be the same....yes it has the goofy keyboard....but I can live with that.

As for applications....no TV App like the touch.....I really dont care. I liked Sprint TV when I was with them....from what I have seen of VCAST, its not even close. Can you say ORB!

And I have this PPCGeeks for any software & ROM mod there is!
