Re: What do you use your TP for?

i just got the phone a few hours ago and have been messing with it since, this phone is ALOT faster than the mogul. i couldnt stand the mogul. pic quality is 100000 x's better than the mogul (wished it had a hard button though).

i use it for business, school, and as a toy.

I didn't get the TP. I am waiting to see if serious business users, who are frank about things and not "in love" with it since before it was even out, can relate how it works for them, perhaps with the ICI turned off.

It's reality, not hater. It's meant to counteract all the "in love" threads and posts. I'm not a kid, and this isn't to be a toy I have to tinker with all the time

Re: What do you use your TP for?

Bundo-

what type of business do you own?

i, well my family and i own a school (www.nurses-aide.com) , party rental company (www.alamoparty.com) , and i am still involved in school. so far this phone "looks" like it will be EXACTLY what im looking to use it for. you said you use pics alot, so i was kinda thinking something in real estate, home modeling or somewhat near that. this phone should do wayy better than the mogul.

what is it that you keep complaining about?

I didn't buy one, even though they are available at BB in Merced. I never want to be a first day buyer of an unknown, and given the issues on the GSM version at XDS, I felt it was prudent to wait. At least with my Mogul, I know the issues and how to deal with them.

I do hope solutions present themselves for most issues, but what many percieve as negativity, I see as reality, and a counterweight to the unabashed cheerleading that has went on here since before the device was out. All of this pattern happened with the Mogul too, but then when reality set in, it became a piece of crap to many. I've seen this little kiddie cheerleading of new un-released and just-released devices too many times, and ofter by the wrong type of person to answer in threads such as this, which was, after all, about BUSINESS use, not playing kiddie games, youtube, etc., etc.

I wanted the poker app for the Mogul too. Research either here or at PDAPhoneHome. It's a plus for the TP if it worked, but even if it did, it wouldn't forgive a business use that didn't work.

I too was interested in the business card reader, because I get too many every day. How well does it work, and how accurate?

I'm a contractor who manages the maintenance and upgrades on about $300,000,000 worth of properties in Silicon Valley. I email heavily, take photos and videos and email issues, use my calendar heavily, notes heavily, contacts heavily, Word, Excel, Pocket Quicken, the camera, Google Maps, Live Search, the flashlight looking in dark places on buildings, Internet a couple times a day, etc.
