But yeah, you make it sound like its a big disappointment on release. Anyone who followed the phone was already aware of the loss of buttons and such. I personally am adjusting to the different setup, loss of buttons, etc, but I like it way better because it actually works, its nice and speedy with the extra ram, and the screen is way nicer. I also like the fact that I have almost 200MB of ram free on boot, as opposed to only having 20 or so megs free on the Mogul.

And why would I want tinier text? A basic premise of AEButton+ is that there has to be buttons, and the more the merrier. I have about 20+ different functions programmed into the Mogul, 4 on each of several buttons (and less on others), including the flashlight. The video-out capability is of little use, becuase most of the job-site videos are just emailed and played of the receiver's computer. How many businessmen need to give presentations, and from their phone at that? As to screen orientation, I have a button-press combination to rotate my screen 90 degrees at a time, and can go all the way around (0, 90, 180, 270). While that is rarely used, the TP switches it even when people don't want it to switch. Can you imagaine pas-sing the TP around the room to look at a photo, the thing will be jumping every which way as it's pas-sed around. Seems goofy to me. |

Re: What do you use your TP for?
I use my phone heavily for business. I've had a 6700, a Titan, a Diamond, and now the TP. I can't figure out how anyone can view this as a downgrade? Finally we can actually multitask in WM! I was so sick of having to make sure I had everything closed just so I could run the freakin camera in the Mogul. That's simply just pathetic.
As a previous poster noted, the screen is flush, which makes the stylus and buttons far less important. I can agree that having a hard buttoned "OK" would be fantastic, but the positives on this phone FAR outweigh the negatives. Memory, VGA, TV Out, Higher Resolution Camera, etc. Although I hate the Sprint version of TF3D, I find it to be fairly easy to use. In addition, there are applications out there such as secondtoday that will allow you to use your regular today screen as well as TF3D. Once the phone is unlocked and our favorite chefs get cracking on this, I think you're going to see something outstanding. If you recall, the Stock Mogul pretty much sucked upon release and to be frank, without the kitchens and custom ROM's, it would still suck. I know change is tough for some, but give it some time and I think you will really enjoy it. |

Re: What do you use your TP for?
If you are so unhappy with the Touch Pro and like the Mogul so much more, why don't you just return it then? Then we wouldn't have to listen to you complain, and you would be on the device you love so much.
