The only downside to Sprint in my area is that right after I switched, VZW updated all of their towers to EV-DO. Sprint is only EV-DO in town, where as VZW is now EV-DO all along I-29 and I-94. Sprint's coverage isn't near as good as VZW, but with unlimited Roaming I haven't had any problems. |

Re: Why Verizon Crippled the Touch Pro
Well I plan to purchase the Sprint Version of the Touch Pro at full retail when it comes out and put it on the VZW network.
I have tried both Sprint and Verizon, and as the above poster said, VZW is definetly superior as far as network. I travel all over the country for work and am often times in small towns with little reception, my VZW phone works almost 99% of the time. Now just to wait for Sprint to release the Touch Pro..... -Sayajin |

Re: Why Verizon Crippled the Touch Pro
nobody has actually confirmed that the verizon version will be crippled... there is only a sprint picture that says so and i highly doubt that verizon would release their specs to sprint. it may or may not be the same phone

Re: Why Verizon Crippled the Touch Pro
The Verizon HTC Raphel has the MSM7500A chipset but it does run at 528MHz.
Edit: And it does have the accelerometer. Last edited by woshi; 10-10-2008 at 09:49 PM. |

For now I intend to stay with Sprint and expect to upgrade a couple more times. |
