How to get your phone replaced with the new model, free of charge using insurance:

1) your (I'm assuming insured) mogul is dead, bricked, damaged beyond repair, whatever, just as long as it is completely inoperable

2) the store has no moguls on hand, (after a few weeks of no significant sales, htc recalls them to the warehouse wen the new model, in this case, pro is out, as it is the replacement)

3) obviously, they have to have a touch pro on hand

I know this by experience, my 6600 died of blackscreen of death barely a month after the release of the 6700, they replaced it with a 6700. my 6700 died about 5 months after mogul launch, I got a mogul. This was all free of charge.

The only way you will get a NEW phone for the Mogul is if and when the mogul is at END of life. Otherwise you will get a Mogul ORRRRRRR if you had TEP for YEARS and NEVER made a claim with Ausurion and NO store repairs or replace do not count they may be able to as a valued customer get you a different model.

I got a obviously referb mogul begining of this month. Now its been what 16 days and I need another one!! My keyboard to begin with wasnt workign right, but I figured I would deal as I dont use it much. Now my screen wont work to touching it at all. and the Port where you put in your cable is not working right. The ship in there is lose so i have to position my phone a certian way to charge it, but it wont sync. So now I gotta call and convince them not to charge me another 50 bucks for a phone. i could careless what I get...sorta i just dont wanna pay again after 30 days!

well, yes they do have a different alphabet but they still use english letters. called roomaji or something like that..ijust wanted to clear it up. sorry again for off topic

If you can get tech support to do an advance exchange instead of an insurance claim, you won't have to pay the $50.

Would this work: Activate an old phone. Use it until the Raph comes out. Switch back to the mogul. Use it for a while. Since it's not working, file an insurance claim, pay $50 and get a Raph?

Or would the insurance be messed up by using a different phone for a while?

possibly, I believe the insurance is assigned to a specific device rather than the line (your mobile #).

I remember I had PPC 6700 and I got Mogul via ausurian after speaking to a supervisor explaining her thats its my 4rd replacement and that I need to try something else. I don't know if I can use same excuse this time? It might take several calls.
